Areas Overseen: Apprenticeships, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Southwest and Sandhills Prosperity Zone
Jordan Lopez currently serves as a Policy Analyst with Hometown Strong, joining the team in late 2021. He primarily works with rural communities located in the Southwest and Sandhills (South Central) Prosperity Zones. Jordan’s policy portfolio includes placemaking, trails and recreation, apprenticeship development, and he also serves as the Hometown Strong representative to the Andrea Harris Task Force for Racial Equity. Prior to joining Hometown Strong, Jordan served as a Legislative Assistant at the General Assembly, and recently earned his Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. Jordan lives in Mecklenburg County, where in his free time he enjoys volunteering in his community and exploring Charlotte’s growing arts scene.
