NC Rural Resources Inventory

The 2020 Rural Resource Inventory aims to alleviate some of the pressure added to local governments during the COVID-19 public health crisis by minimizing the energy spent on researching while maximizing opportunities, making it easier to discover and access state resources.

Local governments will be able to invest that saved time and energy into projects that make their communities unique; strengthening North Carolina’s diversity through preserving its rural spaces. Thanks to various state agencies, the Hometown Strong initiative, nonprofit organizations, and local leadership, rural North Carolina continues to demonstrate resilience and strength. Empowering rural communities is as important as ever and we look forward to continuing our work.
